Using the Calendar

Simple instructions to help you sign in and view the shared group calendars.

  1. Login links are located on the Help page - the link to this is at the bottom in the section labelled "Admin"
  2. Click on the link labelled "Calendar"
  3. You should be taken to the "Sign In" screen.
    Enter your username and password.
    If you are on a shared computer, it is best to un-tick the box labelled "Stay Signed In".
    Press the "Sign In" button.
  4. Assuming you entered the password correctly, you should find yourself on the Calendar screen.
  5. There are several different calendars displayed simultaneously, each in its own colour.  Click on the calendar name to hide or display it.  In the example above, "Hall Bookings" is hidden whilst "13th Twickenham Website" and "UK Holidays" are both displayed.

  6. Some calendars may be hidden under "Other Calendars" - click the right-arrow to the the left of "Other Calendars" to expand that list
  7. You may now see the calendar you want in that list.  Click the square on its left to display it.
    (The square will change to a colour then the calendar is displayed.  This colour is used for the text of items in that calendar. 
    You can change this to your own preference by clicking the arrow to the right of the calendar name - see #11).




  8. If the calendar you want is not there but you know its email address identifier, you can add it by clicking the other arrow to the right of "Other calendars", a menu will appear.  Choose "Add a colleague's calendar".


  9. Enter the email address identifier of the calendar in the box and click "Add".

  10. The calendar should now appear in your list. The square on its left will show the colour for the text of items in that calendar. 

  11. You can change this colour to your own preference by clicking the arrow to the right of the calendar name.


  12. When you've finished, be sure to "Sign Out" using the link at the top-right.
