We have been invited by the Royal Parks to take part in the Bushy Park Chestnut Sunday Parade on Sunday 8th May.  It starts at Teddington Gate and finishes close to the Diana Fountain.  We will renew the Beaver Scout, Cub Scout and Scout promises together after the parade.  This will take the place of the normal St.George's Day parade and all Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Leaders should try to attend.  We need to meet by 12:15 inside the Teddington Gate to Bushy Park and should be finishing at approximately 1:30.

The parade includes World War II military vehicles, Harley Davidson motorcycles, Ceteran cycles, Companion cycles, Classic cars, Horse ranges band, Classic police cars, Royalists and roundheads, Military band, Jazz band, etc.  There are various stalls and the bands playing after the parade.  Many people choose to picnic in the park re-living a Victorian custom of walking through the park on the Sunday closest to May 11th when the Chestnut trees are likely to be in full bloom.

Please note that the road through the park closes from 12:15 - 1:30.
